Positive Relationships

LI: To understand how a healthy relationship has a positive impact.

I made a DLO about what a positive relationship look likes to me.  I also explaind why a healthy relationship is important.

A positive relationships for me looks like

  • Respecting someones culture and not being rude about it.
  • Helping them when they are in a time of need.
  • Being trustworthy and not telling someone private information…

A healthy relationship is important because

  • You can have much easier time communicating with them.
  •  You can also make people happier
  • you can also make people have fun by playing with them

This task was informative because it made me think about what important in a healthy relationship.

T – Ball

I made a google doc explaining the rules, the diamond set up, and the objective of T – Ball.

T – Ball is a game that is simular to Baseball or Cricket. There is a object called a T and you have to hit a tenis ball off the T as far as you possibly can.

There are also these 4 bases base 1, base 2, base 3, and home base. Once you hit the ball you have to run over all the bases and back to home bases and touch the T with your foot. There are also defender their purpose is to gaurd the base.

The T – Ball rules are

  • A player is declared as being out when the ball is hit and then caught without hitting the ground.
  • If a player who has the ball stands on the base before the runner makes it to the base and touches the batter with the ball there out.
  • The round is complete when each player on the team that is batting has had a turn to bat.
  • Once the first team to bat innings are all complete, it is the felder’s turn to bat.

T – Ball is a very fun sport and I recomend you try it.

Current Events | Good News Map

LI: To find good news stories from our local area, our country and the wider world.

This week our current events challenge was to find good news stories. Good new stories are storys that have a happy ending.

We looked at Kiwi Kids News, Kea Kidz, NZ Herald and Radio NZ to find articles to match the purpose we were searching for. We then created a new map in Google my maps, plotted the event on a map, added the link to the article, added the author’s purpose, an image and sumarised the information.

I found this activity because surprising becasue how much good new I found

Relationships

LI: To understand the roles in a relationship and understand what a working partnership looks like

To help us understand the vocabulary in this task we defined each word then worked collaboratively to ‘tell me, show me and explain to me’ what these words mean.

This activity was informative because it is defining many diffrent words and has video examples of what the words are.

PB4L

LI: To use manners and show respect to adults and visitors

Manners are important when you are talking with an adult or anyone.

Manners are good behavior complamenting someone, being nice to someone and so on.

This activity was informative because it was defining what manners are.

Texed Based Evidence

LI: To find evidence in the text to support your answer

This week our group read the text Family Photographs. After reading the text and thinking about the information in the article our challenge was to support the statements based on the questions given. This means also looking at the photos for clues and ideas to give us more information.

This activity was interesting because it helped us learn what type of evidence we need to support a information text.

Relationships

This activity was about having trust between our classmates to see how well we could cooperate. We each had a pencil and paper, and drew something on the paper while putting the paper on the back of our pairs. The person who was drawing against a surface was attempting to mimic their partners drawing as best as they could. This would let us improve our confidence and teamwork with each other.

This activity was useful because this allowed us to strengthen on relationships.
